Tom is a coastal engineer, scientist and surfer. Originally from New Zealand, he has been based for the last few years in Manly, Sydney working at the UNSW Water Research Lab.

Tom grew up surfing the west coast beaches, rivermouths and points of the Whanganui region. This largely forgotten area hides NZ’s longest right and is probably responsible for this present obsession… further fuelled by Raglan and the endless lefts of the far north

This log follows a sabatical year travelling through south and central america chasing the one mile slide.
