Be careful what you wish for. Once Pichilemu maxes out eyes turn to Punta de Lobos (or glaze over as something ‘important’ to do is remembered). A beast of a wave with three sections spread along a rock strewn point & a jump-rock that has to be seen to be believed. Not a huge day by Lobos standards but still solid for a de-facto east coaster. Feeling somewhat deficient on the Indo toothpick semi-gun with a few locals trotting past on chunky 7′ somethings. A 6’10” Terry Fitz single-fin would go down a treat.
Buddy I head up there with has to bail last-minute so wander down to the rock jump solo. This can’t be that hard…? Puta la Weon! Rock hop without too much dramas but leave the 10 foot faces at Los Morros to the big boys & head down to the more manageable Mirador
